Budget and Transparency
Your financial support is critical to the health and growth of the Calvary family and ministries. We encourage our members to give the tithe to the local church. Offerings are given over and above the tithe as members feel led. Because we want to cultivate generosity among our members, we make a point not to hoard what we are given, sharing around 15% of our budget in benevolences to support missionaries, local ministries, outreach efforts, and a variety of other important works.
We seek to be transparent about how our finances are managed. Calvary operates on a July-June fiscal year. The Diaconate oversees the work of the Church Financial Officer to provide accountability to the Church Administrator. Each spring, the Budget Committee makes recommendations that are reviewed by the Diaconate and approved by the Session. This budget is presented annually to the congregation where members must vote to approve changes to any pastor’s financial package. Budget reports are available to members from our Church Administrator upon request.
